Great Reviews for “Toured to Death”

February 4, 2015

My new book, Toured to Death, launched on January 27 — and it’s already getting great reviews.

“Smart, snappy dialog and fun, likable characters keep this series debut moving right along.”
(Starred Review in Library Journal)

“Fast paced with an appealing international flair, this story will likely cross gender and genre lines, appeal to both men and women as well as to readers of more than just cozies.  Characters with plenty of flaws offer enough red herrings to keep the ending a surprise, even for seasoned mystery fans.  A delightful new series.” (Starred Review in Booklist)

“Armchair travelers should enjoy the romp through France and Italy.”
(Publishers’ Weekly)

I hope you like it as well.

A BRIEF SYNOPSIS OF TOURED TO DEATH

Having an ocean between her and her meddling mother seems to work just fine for Amy Abel. While Fanny takes care of their travel agency in New York City, Amy is in Monte Carlo, managing their first mystery-themed excursion, a road rally in which guests compete to solve a fictional murder along the way. Amy still has reservations about going into business with her mother. But both women have lost the men in their lives and need a fresh beginning.

The trip gets off to a great start. But when the writer they’ve hired to script their made-up mystery is found murdered in his New York apartment, mother and daughter must rally to solve a real-life case of foul play. Trying not to drive each other bonkers, Amy and Fanny find they are ready, willing, and Abel to track down a clever killer with some serious emotional baggage, who will go to any lengths to keep dark secrets from seeing the light of day…
